Craft supplies pinecone lion
- Cardboard
- Pine cones
- Acorn tops
- Googly eyes (optional)
- (Paint)markers or pencils
- Scissor
- Glue, we used hot glue to make sure the pinecones stick well
Step-by-step craft instruction
Step 1: Take a big piece of cardboard and a round plate. Trace the plate and cut out the circle. This is going to be the surface that will hold your craft together.
Step 2: Take a smaller plate and trace this plate with a pencil in the middle of your cardboard circle. Now you have a circle in a circle, the middle part will be the lion’s face, and the outside ring (donut) is where you glue the pinecones.
Step 3: First, create a cute lion face. You can use a marker or paint and draw a face or create one with colored paper. I used a piece left over cardboard for the nose, which I painted in rainbow shades and some googly eyes.
Step 4: Lay your pine cones on top of the outside circle; lay them all out before you glue them. If all the pine cones are in the right spot, take a glue gun and glue them one by one. Help or supervise your child when using hot glue.
Step 5: Attach a piece of yarn to the backside to hang the lion on the wall. Great job crafting this adorable pinecone lion wall hanger!
