Valentine’s Day heart shaped penguins, paper penguin craft!

Try out this cute heart-shaped paper penguin craft for Valentine’s Day! This is a super fun paper penguin craft activity to try out with your kids. This craft is also a fun classroom project, as each kid can give the penguins their own touch! Best to try this activity with older kids who have scissor experience. Heart-shaped paper penguin paper craft tutorial.

Craft supplies paper penguin craft

Black and white paper
Colored paper (pink and orange)
G lue stick
Pencil
Round subject, lid, or glass (we used a Pringle can lid)
Scissor
Black marker or fine liner

Step-by-step instructions on paper penguin craft

Step 1: Gather the craft supplies and watch the YouTube craft tutorial above to create these adorable heart-shaped penguins.

Step 2: Lay your black square paper in front of you. Use any square paper size from 12/12 CM to 25/25 CM or between).

Step 3: Fold your paper diagonal in half and repeat this process three times; see the picture above.

Step 4: Take a pencil and a round object and draw the exact white lines as you see in the picture above. I recommend watching the YouTube tutorial to see how we did it using a Pringle can lid.

Step 5: When you have your lines, take a scissor and cut on the white lines and remove all the red, as shown in the picture above.

Step 6: Open up your paper, and if you did it correctly, you end up with eight penguins holding hands.

Step 7: Now, let’s create the heart-shaped bellies. You can make them all white or mix them up pink/white or rainbow. Glue the heart shapes on your penguins.

Step 8: Cut out the penguin feet, draw a pair of feet on orange paper, and see what design and size you like best for your penguins. Then trace/copy your feet 7 times. Glue the feet on your paper.

Step 9: Now, the fun part, give all your penguins silly expressions and a bill/beak!
